Chalk Laser – Making the Significant Progress in Your Installations
Hit the button again and a vertical line gets projected. I got this because I have used so many Hilti cordless drills over the past twenty years furnished for us tradesmen by large union constuction companies here. This kit is ideal for a wide variety of construction professionals and do-it-yourselfers, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, builders, remodelers, machinery installers, interior decorators, dyers, and more. Before buying it check out this review. Once I got the Hilti Laser Level Square home and unwrapped from its package, I immediately started to play around with it. I bought this more for the fun.
My next Hilti laser will have a vertical beam. Rotating laser levels are great for lining up electrical outlets throughout a room or installing dropped ceilings. Quality of beam is adequate to poor – you have to decide whether to save the line or split it when marking – line fades near end of projection and in places completely dissappears on wall. The more expensive Hilti lasers definitely have brighter and much sharper beams of light while the low end models had complaints for practically “invisible” beams in rooms that receive lots of light. A rotary laser level is able to rotate 360 degrees and can mark level on all surrounding walls. A regular bubble-in-vial level ( to ) is a better choice than a laser level for most do-it-yourselfers. That’s a full pound less than the Hilti laser but the carrying case and three 90 beams help tremendously for what it lacks in laser quality.Bumps on the wall blocked the beam. I don’t use much of traditional levels(I use Hilti laser) anymore after I purchased this. The wall was 23 feet long. I was surprised to find the measurements were off on the ceiling height by about 1 inch. Since that time, I have found many other uses for the 5-way Hilti laser. So I got my tape measure out and sure enough one wall, from floor to ceiling, was 1 inch off. While the MSRP is about 9, you can find this level online for around and for the quality its exudes its probably the best buy.
My daughter needed a basic laser level to do some family picture hanging and this does it fine. This level seems to be ahead of its class and possibly ahead of its time. I install window coverings. I can determine if the floor slopes and or the ceiling, find the low spot, measure up from there to set my laser line. I purchased one of these over three years ago to establish a square corner for a poured concrete wall down in a trench.
