I used this to drill into cinder block to install shelves. It worked well. It came with a helpful manual and in a nice case. As far as I'm concerned, this was a good deal!
This is gonna turn my house into a church!

Well, there's gonna be more holiness anyway!

This drill is great for drilling holes. It's also really great for just plugging into the wall and going to town, rather than messing around with big clunky rechargeable batteries and discovering when you got that precious window of time to do your project and you find that you forgot to recharge your drill batteries! I really hate that.

I just bought one a week ago for way less than even here, and it was new, not reconditioned, so shop around a bit! And, I just drilled my first hole through a wall yesterday to run a network cable to my family room (wifi didn't work out so well). So, mount the cutter bit and pull the trigger and zap, instant hole through wall!

This drill is versatile, light, balanced, and powerful. And, very importantly, it doesn't draw so many amps that you risk throwing a circuit breaker when you plug into a wall outlet. More amps is not necessarily better!

No, I wouldn't want to build a house with one of these, but I'll sure drill holes through an existing one, mine! I can't wait for another excuse to drill more with this thing. I'm no handyman, but I'm close to being one thanks to this great and inexpensive drill.
appreciation

Have basically same drill w/batteries -- but they never held charge well. That's done. No batteries required. Nice long cord. Good deal for a refurb.
Excellent - Powerful and well constructed

I have sub-par experience with cordless drills since I use them intermittently. For one thing - at least 50% of time, the battery dies through a project or was dead just when I needed to drill a hole. Charging a semi-charged battery was also not a great idea because of "memory effect". The "Cordless" part really was proving to be a hindrance. Finally the battery on my drill died after 3 years. I then found this corded drill on sale for less than the price of an 18V replacement battery. I can now drill and drive whenever I need to, for as long as I need to and with full power! For outdoors work, I just use my extension cable and take the drill wherever I need to. I no longer miss the "cordless" convenience. Plus no more batteries to buy every few years.

This drill is well made, has speed control and adjustable clutch and plenty of power and speed for all drilling and screw driving needs that I have thrown at it. Mine came in a plastic storage box. It may have been "reconditioned", but the drill had zero scratches and looked brand new. Its quality and performance really surprised me. Only part I don't understand is why a drill this good should cost less than a replacement battery?

I do wish it had a light and a level.. Can't complain for the price I paid..
Reconditioned Ryobi ZRD46CK - Useful tool, good value

Reviewer: G. Graham,
I've been pleased with my "Factory-Reconditioned Ryobi ZRD46CK 3/8-Inch VSR Clutch Driver" which offers good utility, balance, and ample power, and appears to be a good value.

I purchased this Ryobi drill/driver to supplement and eventually replace a weaker cordless drill/driver with aging batteries. It's perfect my somewhat infrequent drilling and driving needs around the home. For me, this basic (long) corded unit offers superior power and availability, and eliminates having to constantly recharge (and eventually replace) the relatively expensive battery of a cordless.
