| Bought this for use at home. Perfect for small to medium projects and don't have to worry about dead batteries. |
Good stuff, but heavy.

What you get in power, you pay for in pounds (so to speak). Which is true with any drill. This has great power - I drove 15 pounds of 3" deck screws into a deck, and it rocked. Trigger's a little touchy, but no complaints after learning curve. I'm just a home owner, not a pro, so my hand would have hurt no matter what, but this felt like perhaps too much for me in weight and power. A little. Still happy. Way better deal that a battery drill/driver that has its life limited by the duration of its battery.

Clutch failed on first use

The first time I tried to use this drill in drill mode, as soon as the bit hit some resistance, it popped from drill to driver mode and the clutch engaged. I could not keep it in drill mode against any resistance, such as drilling in hardwood.
It is going to the local B&D service shop for replacement tomorrow. |
