A grinding wheel or blade sharpener should be a staple in the workshop.  Clean, sharp cutting edges with which to cut are vital for clean, detailed professional work. 

Add extras to improve the quality of your work only after you have added the essentials to your workshop.  Things like clamps, electric nail guns, and glue guns will make your work easier and help give the project a professional finish and appearance.  A well equipped and organized workshop is the first step to successful woodworking.
